Shelfstackers began as a 5 x 5 minute TX comedy pilot shown online stripped through the week, and a 1 x 25 minute omnibus broadcast on BBC Two. It starred these guys:
And ended up as a 30 x 5 minute online / 6 x 25 minute TV commission starring THESE guys:
It’s notable as the first UK terrestrial broadcast shot entirely on DSLRs (Canon 5D), and also for being shot in a bleak working supermarket in an industrial park that genuinely sold a kit for pregnant women to make a plaster cast of their bump. And unicycles. It sold unicycles.
